Peshawar is in Pakistan. Peshawar is an interesting mix of Afghani and Pakistani cultures. The city has a lot of traffic and a seems to have a good economic situation.

Get in
Peshawar has an international airport about 6 km from the city center. There are also numerous bus services to all parts of Pakistan.

See
- The Old City Center with the Bazaar and Old Mosque.
Do
- In the summertime hiking tours to the mountains are offered. Ask at Green Tours in front of the Greens Hotel.
Buy
The old town is a good place to stock up on Afghan handicrafts.

Many Hotels or guest houses with western standards exist. Especially in the "University Town" district or in the City Center.
Get out
- The Khyber Pass is one hour away and can be visited by taking a taxi. It is located in the trible area and easy-to-get permissions are needed for foreigners to enter this area. A taxi to bring you there and back to Peshawar shouldn't set you back more than US$20.
