Alaska Airlines Will Launch a New Credit Card Next Year — Here Are All the Perks It'll Come With

A new Alaska Airlines premium credit card with enhanced perks and greater opportunities to earn bonus miles is coming next summer.
“Our new premium credit card will be sleek and mighty, built for the global traveler who maximizes every accrual and redemption opportunity,” the airline shared about the new card on its website. “Packed with exclusive travel benefits, unique features, and endless ways to explore the world, this card will elevate every journey and daily adventure.”
The new Alaska card, with a $395 annual fee, is designed to offer ultra-loyal travelers even more valuable benefits. The most exciting perk? An annual companion certificate, which will be valid on Alaska Airlines and its extensive network of international partners — even including for business and first-class tickets.
Cardholders will also enjoy annual lounge access, inflight Wi-Fi passes, 3x bonus miles on international and dining purchases, waived award ticket fees, free same-day ticket changes, and a faster route to elite status. In short, this will be Alaska’s best-ever credit card once it launches.
While there’s no official name for this new credit card just yet, travelers who sign up for the early access list by Tuesday, Dec. 31, can earn 500 bonus miles and receive an additional 5,000 miles when applications officially open in 2025.
At the moment, Alaska Airlines offers personal and business credit cards through Bank of America, each with a $95 annual fee. In addition, Bilt Rewards members can transfer their points to Alaska’s loyalty program and earn more miles.
The announcement of this new credit card comes as Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines plan to merge their loyalty programs next summer. At the moment, members of Mileage Plan and HawaiianMiles can also transfer their miles interchangeably at a 1:1 ratio.
