Announced Thursday, American Airlines will launch a new flight route between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport on June 28. The new route makes American the only U.S.
carrier to operate nonstop service between both airports.
The new flight route has a duration of approximately 14 hours and 35 minutes and will operate on a Boeing 777-200. The flight will depart New York at 11:25 a.m. and land in Tokyo at 2:30 p.m.

Japan Airlines currently operates two daily departures between JFK and HND, leaving at 1:30 am and 1:20 pm each day.
