Great news for Chase cardholders: The Chase Travel℠ platform for premium cardholders, The Edit, now allows you to earn hotel points and elite benefits in addition to earning Chase Ultimate Rewards points. This opportunity to double-dip can help you maximize your rewards, but it only applies to certain Chase cards and properties (for now).
Here's everything you need to know about Chase Travel's exciting new feature.

The Chase Travel portal is a valuable tool for anyone who holds an eligible Chase card, such as the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and Chase Sapphire Reserve®.
If you hold the right Chase card, you can also access The Edit by Chase Travel, Chase's luxury hotels platform (note that The Edit is not available to Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders.). Booking hotels via The Edit provides elitelike benefits like complimentary breakfast, room upgrades, late checkout and an up-to-$100 property credit.
But the downside to using Chase Travel and The Edit is that you generally won't earn hotel points or qualifying night credits toward elite status through the hotel's loyalty program.
The good news: This seems to be changing. Now, Chase cardholders with access to The Edit can have their cake and eat it too at select properties. We've seen examples of this at several popular hotel brands, including Accor, Hyatt, IHG and Marriott.
When searching for hotels on Chase Travel, look for a banner below the hotel name and rating that says something like "Marriott Bonvoy eligible" or "IHG One Rewards eligible."
There's currently no way to filter your search results for hotels that are rewards-eligible. However, most rewards-eligible hotels are on The Edit, and Edit hotels tend to rise to the top of the list.
When you click an individual hotel to select your room, you'll see another banner on the right indicating that you can earn rewards from both the hotel and Chase.
Another perk is that you can earn hotel rewards whether you pay for your stay with cash or redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points. So even if you're not spending a dime, you'll earn hotel points and elite night credits toward your next status level. Just be sure to enter your hotel loyalty number when you book.

Historically, stays booked via Chase Travel also weren't eligible for elite benefits. If you booked a Hyatt property through the platform, for example, you wouldn't get any elite status perks — even if you were a top-tier Globalist member with World of Hyatt.
Now, you can not only earn your way to status with certain hotels on Chase Travel but also access any elite
