Capital One cardholders should check their account for a generous offer for first-time hotel bookings through the Capital One Travel platform.
Targeted cardholders can earn 20 Capital One miles per dollar spent on their first hotel booking by April 1; they can earn up to a maximum of 50,000 miles (on up to $2,500 spent, excluding fees and taxes), limited to one booking per eligible cardholder.
TPG values Capital One miles at 1.85 cents each in our March 2025 valuations, meaning this offer would provide a value of 37 cents per dollar spent — a fantastic return.
The earning rate is based on net purchases that do not include travel credits.

Capital One Travel allows eligible cardholders to book hotels, car rentals and flights directly with Capital One; they earn Capital One miles for every purchase and have the ability to redeem miles toward these purchases.
Here's a list of some top Capital One cards that offer access to Capital One Travel:
*The Capital One Spark Cash Plus and Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards Credit Card offer cash back rather than points rewards on bookings through Capital One Travel and may be excluded from this targeted offer.
Several TPG staffers have been targeted for the offer; they each hold the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card. The card currently offers 75,000 miles once you spend $4,000 on purchases within the first three months from account opening, plus a one-time $250 Capital One Travel credit to use in your first cardholder year.
Some cardholders have access to Capital One Travel's boutique hotel collections. The Premier Collection is available to Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders, and it includes benefits like an on-property experience credit of up to $100, daily breakfast for two people and complimentary Wi-Fi.
The Lifestyle Collection is available to Venture X, Venture X Business, Venture Rewards and Spark Miles cardholders and offers:
This limited-time, 20-miles-per-dollar offer represents a substantial increase to the regular earning rates. The regular rates vary depending on which card you hold:
Remember that when you book accommodation through a third-party platform like Capital One Travel, you won't normally earn points in your favorite hotel loyalty program or elite nights toward hotel status. You also won't be able to use any existing status benefits.
Given how generous this offer from Capital One Travel is, you may be happy to forgo these benefits in exchange for earning so many valuable Capital One miles.

Back in my teenage years, my sweet grandmother gifted me her dear friend Laura’s jewelry case—embroidered in bright, baby pink with Laura’s written across it—a truly from-the-heart gift. While I still occasionally use it, when I do, it is purely out of sentimentality. Given its simple, vintage design of only two large zipper compartments, there’s a serious lack of structure and organization. The truth is, the pouch is far from the sleek designs available today: like most travel accessories, travel jewelry cases and pouches have come a long way since dear Laura’s—and have evolved into stylish and conveniently compartmentalized keepers to pack our most cherished pieces.
Many airlines offer hotel booking platforms where you can earn extra miles on hotel stays, but the earning rates (typically fewer than 10 miles per dollar) aren't very appealing. On Southwest Hotels, you can book "Points Plus" properties that earn anywhere from 5 to 25 Southwest Rapid Rewards points per dollar. That's a lot of points toward your next free flight.
