Miami is one of the most popular vacation spots in the United States, and for good reason.

One of the hotels that put the lifestyle hotel movement on the map is set for a renaissance on Miami Beach late next year.
The long-awaited revival of Delano Miami Beach will make a splash on the city's hotel scene next year. The extensive renovation will result in 171 transformed guest rooms and suites, including Bungalow and Penthouse suites. Guests will enjoy the hotel's "Apple a Day" amenity, which will serve curated treats in apple-shaped glass vessels.
Along with views of the Miami skyline and the Atlantic Ocean, the new Delano Miami Beach will feature four restaurants and bars, including a revival of the hotel's iconic Rose Bar. The return of the Delano also means the resurrection of the hotel's popular ground-level pool deck, a beachfront amenity deck and a fourth-floor pool.
While Delano Miami Beach's art deco building has been around since 1947, it wasn't until famed hotelier Ian Schrager and designer Philippe Starck joined forces to open the property as the Delano in 1995 that it became a fixture on the hospitality and see-and-be-seen circuit. Delano, which is now part of Accor's Ennismore lifestyle hotel arm, shuttered during the height of the pandemic but is now part of a growing, global collection of hotels.
"Thirty years ago, Delano ignited the Miami scene and redefined the urban resort experience," Sharan Pasricha, founder and co-CEO of Ennismore, said in a statement. "From the Rose Bar to the pool — it was a place to be, a playground for the global jet set looking for the ultimate discretion."
Earlier this year, Ennismore partnered with real estate investor Cain to reopen the flagship Delano in Miami Beach and grow the brand globally. As part of the deal, Cain now has a minority stake in the Delano brand.
"Today, together with Cain, we continue the iconic Delano story, writing a new chapter for the brand journey, not only with the epic opening of Delano Dubai this month but with the reopening of the brand's flagship, Miami Beach," Pasricha added. "We can't wait for guests, both new and existing, to rediscover Delano Miami Beach."
Maison Delano — one of TPG's best hotel openings of last year — is the brand's Parisian offering, while the new 251-room Delano Dubai fronts the Persian Gulf. Delano Miami Beach is a return to the U.S. for the brand, which shuttered its Las Vegas location earlier this year amid MGM Resorts partnering with Marriott International to open a W Hotel in its place.
