Biometric company Clear is growing its presence at several more popular airports, making it more convenient than ever for travelers to enroll in (or renew) their TSA PreCheck memberships.
Earlier this year, Clear became authorized by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as an official enrollment provider of TSA PreCheck at participating airports. Now, the company has expanded its services at the following U.S. airports:
«TSA PreCheck with enrollment by CLEAR provides a fast and efficient airport experience,» shared CEO of Clear, Caryn Seidman-Becker, in a statement. «This is a win-win for U.S. travelers who will have access to more enrollment locations, expanded hours and other benefits.»
There are no signs of slowing down for Clear, as the company shared that it will continue “launching additional locations and extended hours of operation for enrollment and renewals.” With this expansion, Clear now operates more than 50 TSA PreCheck enrollment locations. The operating hours will vary depending on the location, so travelers are encouraged to check here for specific details.
At any of these participating airports, travelers can register for TSA PreCheck, which costs $77.95, without needing to schedule an appointment. Once enrolled, TSA PreCheck is valid for five years, allowing travelers to keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on, as well as leave laptops and liquids in their bags at airport security.
For a one-time fee of $199, travelers can also bundle TSA PreCheck with a Clear Plus membership. Clear is an annual service that uses biometric fingerprint or eye scans for identification at dedicated security lanes, which will then renew at $189 per year. Having both TSA PreCheck and Clear Plus can significantly reduce wait times, especially at busy airports.

It’s looking like Dominica will get an international airport by 2026, and this will be game-changer for visitors. The project, costing north of $1 billion, will welcome international flights from around the world — a stark contrast to the facilities at the current airport, Douglas-Charles Airport, which mainly handles domestic flights and around 60,000 passengers per year through the three gates. Dominica International Airport has been in the planning stages for several years. The new airport is being built on a 500-acre site. On completion, the runways will facilitate planes from local Caribbean airports and the US and Europe.

And believe it or not, the TSA doesn’t like it any more than we do. Recently, the agency published a list of helpful tips to streamline the screening process just in time for the chaos of Labor Day travel, and last month, it was announced that the TSA is adding Hawai’i as the 11th state from which it will accept digital identification at certain checkpoints.

As fall begins to drape across New York State, it’s the perfect time to book a getaway — after all, we deserve to celebrate this time of year in a place where the season is in its brightest incarnation. The Catskills’ Hamptonsification, however, means that a weekend in the mountains can quickly get expensive. There are some ways to do a getaway on the dime. One is to set a reminder for October 3, noon ET. On a first-served basis, Urban Cowboy Lodge, arguably the best cabin hotel in the area, is offering a stay on the Big Indian Wilderness for $24 per night.
