Ski season is about to get more luxurious in Park City, Utah. Four Seasons just announced a new luxury resort and private residence in Deer Valley East Village, an expansion of Deer Valley Resort.
Though no timeline has been announced for this forthcoming Four Seasons, plenty of details have been made public about the project, which is being developed by Extell Development Company.
For starters, the resort will have 134 guest rooms and suites and 123 private residences ranging from one to six bedrooms. Many rooms will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies and even in-room fireplaces.
Amenities across this alpine-focused Four Seasons will include wellness and fitness facilities with saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools and spa treatments; indoor and outdoor pools; various sports courts; an ice rink; and nearby hiking and bike trails.
The resort will also feature four dining experiences, including a ski-in, ski-out lounge with an outdoor terrace and a fireplace — because isn't the whole point of skiing the apres part?
"We believe a successful development results from a team of exceptional partners working together to deliver excellence. We are certain this will be the case with Four Seasons, who we have embarked on several successful projects with in the past," said Gary Barnett, founder and chairman of Extell Development Company, the team behind the Park Hyatt New York. "We look forward to creating something remarkable with Four Seasons in Deer Valley as well, as we venture to redefine luxury both on the slopes and off at Deer Valley East Village."
Deer Valley East Village, where Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Deer Valley will be located, consists of 3,700 acres of new skiable terrain with lifts and runs alongside tons of dining and shopping outlets.
It's also home to the now-open Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, a luxe points hotel with 400 rooms and suites, a handful of bars and restaurants, a heated outdoor swimming pool and a soon-to-open spa. For folks looking to hit the slopes on points, rooms at the Grand Hyatt start at 21,000 World of Hyatt points per night, but ski season will see rates top out at peak rates of 29,000 points per night.
Unfortunately, Four Seasons is yet to launch a loyalty program, but folks can still score some elitelike perks by booking Four Seasons properties through a program like American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts or Chase's The Edit.

I was recently invited to a festival in Ibiza, the Balearic island known for its turquoise waters, untamed coastlines, and electronic music-fueled parties. But this invite wasn’t to Mike Posner’s Ibiza—the pills would instead be homeopathic ones touting health and wellbeing, and the headliners included biohacker Ben Greenfield, Los Angeles-based trainer Kim Strother, and women’s health and menopausal expert Dr. Jessica Shepard. Hosted at Six Senses Ibiza, a secluded resort on the island’s northern tip, the event blended music, healing practices, and communal experiences. Called Alma (Spanish for “soul”), its themes span psychedelic breath work and sex chats to sound healing and biohacking. “Longevity is a key pillar of what we do,” Alma Festival founder Talana Bestall tells Traveler.
Ski season in the western United States and Canada doesn't look like it did a decade ago. Despite the fact that climate change has made snowfall far less predictable, resorts have never been more crowded. This is partly because so many of the region's best mountains now accept the multi-resort Epic and Ikon passes, making it cost-effective to spend more days at more destinations, and also because the COVID-era uptick in the sport has endured. Long lift lines and packed runs, as well as sold-out slope-adjacent hotels, are now the norm.

Travel has become our fountain of youth. Recent research shows that more than half of American travelers are prioritizing vacations designed to enhance their lifespan and well-being. Longevity, the concept of living a longer and healthier life, continues to be the hottest buzzword in the trillion dollar wellness tourism space. But amidst a global epidemic of loneliness, fewer people want to be cocooned in a clinic undergoing DNA testing and stem cell treatments. More and more, travelers are craving community and connection and some of the new longevity-focused programs are centered around communal activities like hiking and vision boarding. A more holistic approach to wellness means we’re finally paying attention to our brains, with retreats offering everything from neurofitness training to psychedelic-assisted feedback. And women finally have a plethora of programming tailored specifically to their health needs, from menopause to fertility. Taking a vacation is now the antidote for nearly every ailment, from insomnia to technology addiction. It won’t be long before doctors are prescribing holidays. Here are the wellness travel trends and destinations, resorts, and retreats that promise to revitalize your health in 2025.

The best trips that Condé Nast Traveler editors took this year remind us that the classics are classics for a good reason. Many of us have had the privilege of traveling to some of the most far-flung corners of the earth, but few things can top the simple joys of either traveling with family, returning to beloved cities, and rediscovering our own backyards.
