Getting From Florida to Europe on a Budget Just Got Easier

The wait is over. Capital One has unveiled a sleek new airport lounge at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), partnering with several well-known local businesses to provide coffee, desserts, and hand-crafted beer.    

A new flight route makes a warm-weather getaway to Florida easier, and cheaper.Frontier Airlines recently launched service to Miami International Airport from the Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT. In celebration of the new route, Frontier is offering discounts with one-way fares as low as $49.  The service officially began on February 13, 2025, and operates three times a week, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The $49 discounted fares are available for purchase through April 21, 2025, and can be used for travel until May 21, 2025.

Charleston, South Carolina has long been a favorite destination among travelers, and a new airline route is making it easier to visit.  American Airlines will soon begin direct service between Charleston, SC and New York, NY (LGA) on June 6, 2025. The new route will operate twice weekly on Fridays and Saturdays through the summer, according to American’s booking website. The two-hour and 17-minute flight will be operated with an Embraer 175 aircraft.  American Airlines currently operates flights to Charleston from Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Philadelphia, Miami, and Washington, D.C.

Legend of the Seas, the third ship in Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class, will launch in July 2026and spend its first summer cruising the Mediterranean. It will then journey to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from where it will sail year-round to the Western and Southern Caribbean, the cruise line announced today.

A new rail route connecting Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn has just made travel between the Baltic capitals much easier.  

Avianca Airlines is adding a new route that will connect travelers from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to Colombia’s capital city, Bogotá. The new route will take flight on May 26, 2025, and operate four times per week on an Airbus A320  The flight will depart Dallas at 2:50 p.m., and arrive in Bogotá at 8:15 p.m. The return flight departs at 7:30 a.m., and arrives back in Dallas at 1:20 p.m.

A warm weather getaway to the Dominican Republic just got easier and cheaper. Low-cost carrier Arajet recently announced new flights from Miami to Punta Cana that will operate six times per week, starting on April 11, 2025. Best of all, the airline is celebrating the new routes with fares discounted up to 50 percent off. The discounted fares are available by entering the promotional code LOVE2025 during the checkout process. The code expires on February 16, 2025, so travelers will need to act quickly to secure the savings. The promotional code is only valid for bookings with two or more travelers, and does not apply to taxes or fees.

Avianca's LifeMiles program has increased redemption costs on many popular routes just six months after increasing Europe rates. As first reported by Loyalty Lobby, the Bogota, Colombia-based loyalty program has increased mileage costs operated by Star Alliance partners, including United Airlines, EVA Airways and All Nippon Airways, without warning.

European passenger rail travel continues to expand, with a flurry of new routes opening and competition heating up on key routes, including on the rail line that runs below the English Channel. Plans to streamline the booking process across Europe could also make rail travel easier and more efficient.
