IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding across the United Kingdom by adding eight properties to its portfolio, from London to Leeds and beyond.
According to the hotel group, the eight newly signed hotels will add more than 900 rooms across different IHG brands, including Hotel Indigo and Crowne Plaza. The new hotels build on the more than 360 properties IHG currently operates across the U.K. and Ireland.

"This growth is powered by our strong enterprise which positions IHG as the first choice for owners as well as the guests we welcome, and colleagues who work with us," Joanna Kurowska, IHG's vice president and managing director for the U.K. and Ireland, said in a statement. "From innovating our brands and new hotel technology, to the ever-increasing appeal and growth of our IHG One Rewards loyalty programme, we continuously look to deepen guest experiences and deliver more business to our hotels."
In London, IHG will add the brand-new Holiday Inn Express London – Woolwich, which is expected to open in a converted five-story office building in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, in late 2029. The property will feature 265 rooms and become a flagship for Holiday Inn Express in London.
The opening will complement the Voco London – Marylebone, which IHG debuted last year with 93 guest rooms in the heart of one of the city's most stylish and vibrant neighborhoods.
North of London, IHG's openings will include the brand-new Hotel Indigo Leeds with 107 fully renovated guest rooms (opening later this year), the Garner Hotel Nottingham City Centre (expected to open in late 2025) and the 104-room Voco Corby (expected to open in late 2025).
This year, IHG also expects to open the conveniently located, 114-room Crowne Plaza East Midlands Airport and the 53-room Garner Hotel Reading City Centre in a traditional townhouse, and it has already opened the 80-room Garner Hotel Preston Samlesbury.
IHG operates more than a dozen different brands across its portfolio, from the ultraluxurious Six Senses brand to Kimpton Hotels, Hotel Indigo and Even Hotels. It recently acquired another hotel brand, Ruby, as well. The company also operates its IHG One Rewards loyalty program that is free to join.
