Escaping to Bermuda for the holidays just got easier thanks to a new promotion from island-based carrier BermudAir giving away free companion tickets.
Travelers who book a BermudAir holiday package between now and Sept. 30 will receive a free second airfare with their purchase so they can bring a friend or loved one along, the airline told Travel + Leisure. The promotion is valid for travel through Dec. 15, but as a bonus, travelers who fly by Sept. 30 will also receive a complimentary business class upgrade with their ticket.
“We are excited to offer these savings and upgrades as a way to say thank you and to encourage visitors to enjoy Bermuda in the fall,” Adam Scott, the CEO and founder of BermudAir, said in a statement shared with T+L. “This initiative not only enhances the visitor experience but also supports our local tourism partners by driving more traffic to the island during a traditionally quieter period.”
The airline offers several holiday packages, including stays at some of the most popular and iconic properties on the island. A flight and 3-night stay at the historic Hamilton Princess, for example, starts at $1,500 per person, while a flight and 3-night stay at the luxurious Rosewood starts at $1‚750 per person.
In addition to the packages, BermudAir is offering an unlimited flight pass starting at $2,999 for travelers who purchase by Sept. 30 and fly between Sept. 15 and Dec. 15. Travelers must then reserve a flight up to 72 hours before departure.
Bermuda experiences mild daytime temperatures in the fall and winter, along with plenty of activities from golf to boating, but is not necessarily going to have the best swimming conditions that time of year.
BermudAir launched in 2023 with plans of operating an all-business class airline, but changed course and made economy seats permanent just a couple months later. The airline, which flies to Bermuda from several popular airports in the United States, operates a fleet of Embraer E175 aircraft and offers perks like complimentary onboard Wi-Fi and signature Bermuda cocktails like the Dark ‘n Stormy.

Germany’s got a big secret: It’s got islands. And not the rocky, desolate, and uninhabited kind, but islands with miles of sandy beaches, picturesque cliffs, peaceful, protected forests, and seaside luxury hotels. The Germans obviously are in the know, and because of their geographical locations, the Dutch and Danes are, too. But nobody else in in the world seems to remember that Germany has a coastline on both the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, let alone that this coastline is peppered with dozens of islands. The biggest of all the German islands is Rügen in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, itself a wildly underrated area. While Rügen takes a little effort to get to, the trip is hardly insurmountable, and travelers who want to see Germany away from the big urban centers, internationally known beer festivals, and packed tourist attractions would be remiss to pass on it.
