Vail Resorts is giving Epic Pass holders an additional discount on hotels — on top of the discount they already receive — just in time for the start of ski season.
The sale, which is available from Nov. 21 through Nov. 27, offers pass holders 20 percent off lodging rates for this winter in addition to the 20 percent pass holders already receive as a perk of the pass, the resort company shared with Travel + Leisure. The sale comes as several major resorts have already opened or plan to open soon.
It also comes as prices for the Epic Pass are set to go up on Nov. 19. The pass is currently on sale for $969.
«With Epic Pass prices going up on November 19th, purchasing a pass now unlocks the most value in your ski season, both on and off the slopes,” Laura Bonfiglio, the senior manager, global media relations, told T+L. “With mountains like Keystone, Vail, and Breckenridge already open, skiers and riders can get their season started and… Pass Holders can save even more for a limited time with our Pass Holder Exclusive Lodging Cyber Sale, which offers an additional 20% off room rates across our world-class mountain resorts this season.»
The Epic Pass, which is one of the best multi-resort passes in skiing, offers unlimited and unrestricted access to more than 40 different mountain resorts and limited access to dozens more resorts all over the world.
As part of the deal, pass holders receive access to Epic Mountain Rewards, which offers a standard 20 percent discount on food, lodging, lessons, rentals, and more. But during the “Pass Holder Exclusive Cyber Sale,” pass holders can unlock an additional 20 percent off lodging rates.
As part of the sale, mountain enthusiasts can save on a creative and modern stay at Gravity Haus Breckenridge, a cozy Park City retreat at the Grand Summit Hotel, A Rock Resort, a luxe escape at The Hythe set at the base of Vail Mountain, and more.
New this year for pass holders is a digital upgrade. Now, skiers and snowboarders will be able to store their passes on their phones and scan it on the mountain hands-free using Bluetooth.
