This summer, Aeromexico is expanding its U.S. network with new flights from key East Coast cities, enhancing connectivity via its joint partnership with Delta Air Lines.
Beginning June 5, 2025, Aeromexico will launch daily flights between Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez (MEX), as well as between San Luis Potosí International Airport (SLP) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). This will be the first time the Mexican flag carrier will operate flights to Philadelphia, currently the largest U.S. market without direct service to Mexico City, according to the airline.
“This addition brings the total number of destinations connected between the two countries to 26, operating across 57 routes with a daily joint operation of over 90 flights,” the airline shared in a statement.
Aeromexico will operate its Mexico City to Philadelphia route using a Boeing 737 MAX-8, with 166 seats and high-tech amenities like fast Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, and fast charging outlets. The flight is scheduled to depart Philadelphia at 10:02 a.m., arriving in Mexico City at 12:55 p.m. The return flight will leave Mexico City at 1:35 p.m., landing in Philadelphia at 8:25 p.m. the same day.
The Atlanta to San Luis Potosi route will be served by an Embraer 190 aircraft. This flight will depart San Luis Potosi at 9:00 a.m., reaching Atlanta at 2:22 p.m. The return leg will depart Atlanta at 3:39 p.m., arriving in San Luis Potosi at 4:49 p.m.
Last year, Aeromexico introduced several new routes to its Mexico City hub, including service from Boston, Newark, Raleigh-Durham, Tampa, and Washington, D.C. Building on the success of its current operations, the airline will increase capacity from Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth by adding a second daily flight to Mexico City later this summer.
