United Airlines is revamping its onboard experience with the debut of redesigned amenity kits.
The Chicago-based carrier will start offering newly designed kits across its Polaris business-class cabin beginning in mid-November, as detailed in an internal memo and confirmed by an airline spokesperson.
The kits, designed in partnership with wellness brand Therabody, are shaped in the outline of the casing used for Therabody's Theragun Mini. (The Theragun Mini is a popular massage gun device that's portable enough to be used during travel. It retails for $199 and is unfortunately not included as part of the amenity kit.)
There will be two variants of the redesigned amenity kits: one in blue and another in gray. There's no telling which color you'll find on your flight, so you'll just need to rack up flights in United Polaris if you want to collect them both.
The contents of the amenity kits aren't changing. Inside, you'll find an Arrive Revived kit, earplugs, a dental kit, a pen, soft tissues, a sleep mask, socks and a refreshing wipe.
As far as amenity kits go, this new design seems to be quite practical for those looking to reuse the bag during future travels. It seems like it will be the right size to store some travel gear such as chargers, cables and other essentials.
In addition to the amenity kits, United will debut an updated children's travel kit in December. United says that the new kit is designed to keep kids engaged and entertained during their journey. It will include an activity book with crayons, a flight certificate, an origami guide and a pop bracelet.
This is the latest change that United is making to its onboard experience. The airline has recently started rolling out revamped menus on premium cardstock, as well as updated bedding that eliminates single-use plastics.
United is also expected to debut revamped Polaris seats in the coming months when introducing new Boeing 787 Dreamliner cabins.
It's an exciting time to be a United flyer, and TPG will keep you posted on the latest.

When I booked a sleeper car for my 16-hour Amtrak ride, I could choose a roomette, bedroom, bedroom suite, or accessible bedroom. I went with the roomette, which was the smallest sleeping accommodation, so I assumed I wouldn't have much space for luggage.

So much of plane travel can be stressful. Whether it’s the race to the airport, the interminable security lines, or the fear of flying itself, there are plenty of ways for anxiety to build.
Packing for a Florida escape means adhering to a polished warm-weather dress code. At Beach Club, a hotel within The Boca Raton resort that just completed a $120 million renovation, this means curating a travel wardrobe that looks as at home in the water as it does on a yacht. Dress in shades of soft sand and palm green for the scene at the Harborside Pool Club, where butlers deliver pitchers of rum punch to private cabanas; come sundown, glam things up with a flash of gold or pearls. You'll feel right at home in guest rooms that have been reborn with teal and coral-colored velvet accents—the same classic, refined image of Florida that The Boca Raton helped invent when it opened nearly a century ago. Below, our curated list of vibrant and chic packing essentials for a trip to The Boca Raton. Colorful two-piece sets, embroidered linen tops, and timeless accessories are all included.
Traveling around the Galápagos Islands is a straight-forward affair: All you have to do is show up with the right gear, and the islands (and their precious animal inhabitants) will put on the best show you’ve ever seen. This should be simple. Surely, if the 100-year-old giant tortoises can stay calm and strike a pose while a dozen teary-eyed tourists gawk at them from six feet away, you can pack the right kind of socks.
As a travel editor, packing is a routine part of my life. When you’re constantly on the road, living out of a suitcase becomes the norm and you get used to rearranging and retrofitting your packing setup to make it more efficient. Ironically, the most efficient thing I ever did to my travel setup was to ditch the suitcase entirely in favor of a new backpack, the Tortuga Setout 45L. I acquired my Setout in late 2017, prompted by a summer spent traveling through Southeast Asia and a fall in Mexico, during which I had a rucksack-style backpackers’ pack. At 33, I felt both too old and, now, too experienced, to be carrying around a rucksack.
