I recently had a chance to attend a five-course dinner at the Thompson Denver hotel, part of the Hyatt brand's A Taste of Thompson: Chef Series. This is one of many activities available through Find, Hyatt's experience platform, where World of Hyatt members can earn and burn points.
Here's everything you need to know about Find, what my experience was like and why I think Find is worth considering when planning your next trip.

According to Hyatt's website, "FIND is a marketplace that offers access to carefully curated wellbeing experiences to help inspire people to be their best selves." There are currently over 500 experiences in over 75 destinations available on the Find website.
If you're planning a trip (or looking for something fun to do at home), you can search by country or state to see what's on offer in your destination. You can also search by category (arts, culture & community, exploration and restoration), or you can enter keywords to narrow your search.
Unlike some hotel experience platforms, which focus on shows or sporting events, Find's selection runs the gamut. Of course, your options will depend on where you're headed — and big cities seem to have the best selection. Prices vary greatly, too.
Some examples include a beer tasting in Prague ($33 or 2,377 World of Hyatt points), a snorkeling excursion in Honolulu ($184 or 13,148 points) and a half-day tour of Marrakech ($349 or 24,960 points).
You can also find tickets to shows and museums, letting you earn and burn Hyatt points on something you may have already been planning. For instance, an entry ticket to the Nashville Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum costs $31 or 2,225 points, or you could see "Aladdin" on Broadway for $110 or 7,849 points.
Some experiences are "curated" by a Hyatt hotel, but you generally don't have to stay at the hotel to book the experience. The exception is for experiences that explicitly include a hotel stay, like a "Wicked"-themed night at the Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor ($475 or 33,955 points).
Anyone can view Find experiences, but you must be a World of Hyatt member to purchase them. If you log into your account while searching, you can favorite specific experiences to save them for later.

A Taste of Thompson: Chef Series is part of a larger Chef Series event that is available on Find as part of a larger package, which includes tickets for two to the dinner, a meet-and-greet with the chef, a predinner cocktail hour and one night's stay at the hotel — in my case, it was the Thompson Denver.
My experience also included several goodies waiting for me in my

Air travel is off to a smooth start this long weekend, but that's likely to change — first from snow in the Northeast then in the Deep South thanks to a second winter storm, this one a potential whopper now brewing off the Texas coast.

Southwest Airlines’ planned expansion to Europe is quickly becoming a reality. The Dallas, TX-based carrier recently shared with Travel + Leisure that it has officially signed a joint commercial agreement with Icelandair to begin flights between the two airlines starting in February 2025. The inaugural Icelandair flights will take off from Baltimore, MD (BWI) airport to Reykjavik, Iceland, although a specific launch day within February has not been disclosed. Once in Iceland, travelers can connect to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Dublin, Paris, Prague, and other destinations throughout Europe within Icelandair’s route network.
It's no secret that travel can get expensive very quickly. But some destinations are more costly than others, especially if a tourism tax (a daily charge usually applied to hotel bills) is involved. U.K.-based financial comparison site Money recently rounded up five cities that charge the priciest tourism taxes around the world to help travelers make informed decisions about their next vacation.

When my taxi rolled up to Aleenta Phuket Phang Nga Resort & Spa, a luxurious beach hideaway north of Phuket—and far from Thailand's overcrowded beach towns like Patong—I was a shell of a human, on the verge of burnout. My body was teetering toward a full system shutdown; my gut was a mess. My under-eye bags could double as carry-ons.
According to the United Nations, global tourism is expected to have surpassed prepandemic levels in 2024. In fact, last year saw the 10 busiest air travel days of all time. And considering that the International Air Transport Association is forecasting a nearly 5 percent increase in departures in 2025, air travel is only going to become more crowded and congested.
It’s odd enough to find yourself traveling by helicopter from one Caribbean island to another for lunch, even if your destination is Nobu Barbuda, an outpost of the famous restaurant plunked down on a semi-deserted beach. It’s odd in a different way to arrive and spot the 81-year-old actor Robert De Niro dressed in a pair of shorts and a tiny bucket hat, waiting for you at a table in the back.
