Woman Sentenced to Prison, Banned From Flying After Attacking TSA Agents

The crackdown on unruly airline passengers continues.
An Arizona woman has been sentenced to prison and banned from flying for attacking several agents with the Transportation Security Administration.
The incident happened last year at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
Ma'Kiah Cherae Coleman, 20, pleaded guilty. She was facing a maximum of 20 years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines.
She was sentenced to four months in prison followed by supervised release. Coleman is also banned from flying during her three years of supervised release.
The incident began when she was prohibited from bringing an apple juice on board a flight through the security checkpoint. The United States Attorney’s office in Phoenix said she then grabbed a TSA agent by the hair. She also punched the officer. She also pulled the hair of another agent and attacked a third with her elbow.
The ruckus caused the security checkpoint to briefly shut down.
Hint: You can probably get apple juice and other beverages on the flight.
The Federal Aviation Administration has enlisted the help of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to review cases of unruly passengers.
