Most known for rewarding members on rent payments, Bilt Rewards is now offering homebuyers the opportunity to earn Bilt Points on new home purchases. These Bilt points can then be redeemed to book travel with airlines and hotels, purchase home decor, pay for fitness classes and more.
So, how does Bilt's new points-earning benefit work? Keep reading to find out how you can be rewarded on your next home purchase.
If you currently rent a home, apartment or condo, you can earn 250 points per monthly rent payment made through the Bilt App at an in-network property using a non-Bilt card; therefore, for one year of paying rent, you'll earn up to 3,000 Bilt points. However, if you currently hold the Bilt Mastercard® (see rates and fees), you can earn 1 point per dollar spent on your rent payments (up to 100,000 points per calendar year). Keep in mind that with the Bilt Mastercard, you must use the card five times each statement period to earn points (see rewards and benefits).
As a new Bilt perk, if you're in the market for a home, you can earn points on the purchase price of that home. When working with an eXp Realty agent, Bilt members will earn 1 point for every $2 of a home's purchase price. Therefore, if you buy a home that costs $450,000, you could earn 225,000 Bilt points.
"At eXp Realty, we're committed to empowering homebuyers with innovative solutions that make the journey to homeownership more accessible and rewarding," Leo Pareja, CEO of eXp Realty, said in a Bilt press release. "Our strategic relationship with Bilt enhances this commitment by providing homebuyers the ability to earn significant rewards while making the most important purchase of their lives. This collaboration not only simplifies the homebuying process but also brings unprecedented value to the table, helping more people turn their dream of owning a home into a reality."
Since TPG values Bilt points at 2.05 cents per point, per our November 2024 valuations, those 225,000 points are worth about $4,612.
Your Bilt points can then be used for a variety of redemption options; however, to maximize the value of your points, TPG recommends transferring your rewards points to airline and hotel partners to book travel. This redemption option could easily net you well over 2.05 cents per point in value.

Continuing to enhance its loyalty program and find new and innovative ways for consumers to rack up rewards, Bilt's latest unique earning benefit targets homebuyers. However, members will have to use eXp Realty if they want to earn Bilt points on the purchase price of their homes.
