International Traveler Spending Reached $19 Billion in August

Travelers may have noticed a growing number of flights coming out of and into Denver International Airport (DEN but also known locally as DIA). This midcontinent airport is the second largest in the world in relation to the size of the land and also has the largest runway in North America that is used for commercial travel. DEN has announced further plans to expand.

Internova Travel Group, a network of travel agencies owned by private equity firm Certares, plans to expand its investments in the luxury space. That will help give its more than 100,000 travel advisors more boutique hotel offerings and packages to offer customers.

International travel to the U.S. continues to make a post-pandemic recovery, according to new data on international air travelers released Monday by the U.S.’s National Travel and Tourism Office. International air travelers spent $18.9 billion in the U.S. in the second quarter, up 33% from the same period in 2022.
