Silversea is celebrating the successful completion of Silver Nova’s first season in Alaska.
Over the course of the summer, the new vessel traveled more than 32,000 miles during 19 departures. Guests sailing aboard the ship participated in more than 100 shore excursions in destinations like Juneau, Skagway, Sitka and Ketchikan.
Photographer Steve McCurry captured images of Silver Nova and the Alaska wilderness in August. The line also unveiled an exhibition of McCurry’s work onboard the ship in honor of the company’s 30th anniversary.
After departing No. 49, Silver Nova is now on its way to Asia for the first time. The ship will return to Alaska next year from May Through September.
