Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has announced the addition of two new ships, the S.S. Victoria and S.S. Elisabeth, which will set sail for Europe in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
Reincarnated from Crystal Cruises river fleet as the former Crystal Bach and Crystal Mahler, Uniworld will take over the ships under a new three-year bareboat charter agreement with Seaside Collection, adding the brand's trademark touches and amenities on both vessels.
Ellen Bettridge, President and CEO of Uniworld, says "We’re thrilled to add two stunning new ships to the Uniworld fleet, beginning with the S.S. Victoria on the beloved Rhine, fulfilling our promise to maintain the best and most luxurious ships on the rivers.
The S.S. Victoria and S.S. Elisabeth are unique vessels that we know our guests will love, featuring a modern design, some of the largest suites on the rivers, and an ambiance that exudes contemporary luxury."
"Onboard, guests can expect our Tiny Noticeable Touches throughout every aspect, from the impeccable service provided by the Uniworld crew they know and love to the multitude of all-inclusive amenities available to them” she adds.
The S.S. Victoria and S.S. Elisabeth are identical ships, which can accommodate 110 guests in 55 ultra-luxury suites and staterooms. All rooms feature king-sized beds with panoramic views of the passing scenery, while some suites boast lavish features such as walk-in closets and cozy fireplaces.
On board, you'll also find a massage room, fully-equipped gym, rooftop bar and grill for cocktails and light bites, and a fine dining restaurant serving gourmet farm-to-table cuisine utilizing fresh local ingredients selected daily by the chef in local ports.
The S.S. Victoria will sail from Amsterdam in March 2024 for an 8-day Holland & Belgium at Tulip Time voyage through Belgium and The Netherlands, blending the traditional Amsterdam tulip experience with historic cities.
Later in 2025, the S.S. Victoria will embark on an 8-day Castles Along the Rhine sailing from Basel to Amsterdam, visiting fairytale-like towns and mighty castles, and delving into centuries-old winemaking traditions — as well as an 8-day Belgium Holiday Markets cruise from Brussels, uncovering famous and under-the-radar Christmas markets tucked away in tiny charming European towns.
