Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members who dream of reaching far-flung paradisiacal shores on their next vacation are now in luck.
The U.S. carrier has just launched its new Global Getaways program, available exclusively to its loyalty plan participants, which offers rewards travel for up to 50 percent off of the usual redemption rates when customers book travel to a select set of destinations aboard Alaska’s global partner airlines.
The list of international destinations on which the offer is available will be shuffled up four times per year, so there will be a new list of amazing locales to use your rewards points on each quarter.
For this, the program’s first offering, customers can redeem their miles at reduced rates throughout the month of April via Alaska’s website for travel from this fall, from September 1 through November 30, to any among a collection of exotic, sun-drenched beach escapes.
These reduced rewards flights are discounted automatically when you visit alaskaair.com, and you can find them easily by searching for flights to any of the specified eligible destinations and checking the “Use Miles” function.
According to Travel + Leisure, travelers can also include a single stopover of up to 14 days’ duration as part of these overseas itineraries, extending the value of their discounted fares even further by essentially enfolding two trips into one.
