Travelers flying to Europe on Air Canada can now seamlessly book trains to their onward destinations thanks to the carrier’s new air-to-rail program.

Pack your bags because flying to Europe will be a bit easier and more convenient for travelers in the Lone Star State. Beginning in 2024, flights will take off from San Antonio and fly directly to Frankfurt, Germany. This is the first time the San Antonio International Airport (SAT) offers nonstop service to Europe.
Texas now has several options for those who would like to travel abroad. The newest is expected to begin on May 17, 2024. Travelers in the Alamo City will be able to fly nonstop to Frankfurt Airport in Germany (FRA). Condor, an airline based out of Frankfurt, will operate these seasonal flights.
Flights will operate three times per week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flights will be available from May 17, 2024, through September 6, 2024. Here is what that schedule will look like:

Passengers will be able to enjoy the award winning whisper quiet airspace cabin. There will be extra personal space, larger overhead bins, a comforting lighting system, ways to connect devices, including Bluetooth, and in-flight entertainment systems with current media to enjoy.
Flights can accommodate up to 310 passengers. There will be 30 business class seats (including four “Prime Seats”), 64 premium economy seats, and 216 seats in economy class.
Business class members can relax in lie-flat seating (76-inches long by 19-inches wide) that is configured so that each passenger in business class has aisle access. Entertainment is available via 17.3-inch touchscreens with an added remote control for comfort.
The “Prime Seats” are the first row of business class seats that come with the ability to accommodate two passengers to dine together and to relax with a 24-inch touchscreen. A premium travel kit, in-flight pajamas, and a basket of premium snacks are included.
Flights will be serviced by new Airbus A330-900neo planes. This aircraft is also the most environmental friendly aircraft as it reduces CO2 emissions and fuel consumption by as much as 20 percent. The Airbus A330-900neo is also the first aircraft in the world that is certified for CO2 emissions reduction, a requirement for planes by 2028.
The new direct route from San Antonio, Texas to Frankfurt, Germany can help more travelers visit Europe with friendly pricing. Tickets for this new flight option are already on sale for early birds who plan on visiting Europe next summer. This is the 42nd destination that travelers can fly to from San Antonio International Airport.
