What you should know before traveling to Honduras

The first time I visited Honduras, I was backpacking through Central America and heard Roatán was a cheap and beautiful place to dive. I planned on a few days. I ended up staying a month, diving every day, twice a day, not wanting to leave.

JetBlue and Spirit Petition Appeals Court To Allow Merger

In what may be a last ditch effort, JetBlue Airways and Spirit Airlines have filed an appeals court brief asking that the merger between the two airlines be allowed to proceed. The brief, filed today with the Boston 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, asks that the court overturn a recent judge’s ruling that stopped the proposed $3.8 billion, according to Reuters. In the brief, the airlines argued that the merger was improperly blocked and pointed out that the same judge who ruled against the airlines joining forces also recognized that such a merger would: ”improve competition, and thus reduce prices, for the vast majority of consumers."

Travelers And Snowbirds, Protecting Your Home From Weather Got Easier

Living in a rural and sometimes frigid part of Vermont, I used to worry about winter weather when I left my home empty to travel. Just before the pandemic, I went on a ski trip to the Rockies, and while I was gone, a pipe froze and burst, spewing water for days, and the end result was the total destruction of my kitchen floor down to the sub flooring, requiring more than $60,000 in repairs, not to mention very long waits for contractors and legal hassle with my sub-par insurer. Thanks to supply chain issues, it took well over a year just for my new range to arrive, cooking on an induction burner with no oven.
