A week after Beyoncé announced the Renaissance World Tour, I sat hunched over my laptop, with less than two minutes to make a two-thousand-dollar decision.

Acqualina Resort & Residences in Sunny Isles Beach, just north of Miami, is among my favorite properties in the world and one of that’s beloved by my entire family.
While the hotel side is on top of its game with respect to service, amenities, beachfront setting and many other elements of what makes a great resort, the new Estates at Acqualina is unparalleled with respect to luxury living.
The amenities at the Estates— a bowling alley, ice skating rink, an outpost of the hot Greek eatery Avra, a spa, gardens, a dog park and many more-, today, I want to talk about Casa Di Oceana, a residence within the Estates that is simply wow and showcases how opulent this property truly is.
Casa Di Oceana, located in the South Tower of the Estates, is a two-story penthouse that costs a staggering $45 million. The home’s grand staircase immediately captures attention and sets the tone. With sweeping 270-degree views of the Atlantic Ocean, the bay and Miami skyline, the panoramas are killer.
Spanning over 9,083 square feet of interior space, Casa Di Oceana also has a 4,250 square foot terrace complete with a glass oceanfront pool.
There are five bedrooms with attached baths. Two are located on the lower level while the upper floor primary suite has a separate sitting area and a wet bar. It includes two full bathrooms with steam and a sauna.
Other highlights include a service room, a spacious shoe closet and a walk-in closet that rivals a Chanel boutique.
This is a home designed for entertaining: there is a great room, a family room featuring a cozy fireplace, a media room with a bar for movie nights and two laundry rooms. And you can’t miss the oceanfront lounge and 16-foot high ceilings that make the home feel even more grand.
The lucky owners can take advantage of all the amenities. I have to add that the late fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld designed the lobbies in the two residential towers, marking the late designer’s only interior design project in the United States.

Although the legend of Dionysus—a Greek deity responsible for wine and other pleasurable pursuits—is centuries old, the mythological figure is still influencing modern-day Greece. The nation’s indigenous grapes and unique terroir create one of the world’s most exciting wine-producing countries, but given Greece’s vast and mountainous geography it would take as much time to visit all the different regions as it did to build the Parthenon.

Could Spirit, the airline everybody loves to hate, become a bit less hateful? If the company’s new CEO has his way, it will do just that.

Summer, also known as high season for travel, is almost here. And according to AAA just about everyone is poised to hit the road. The organization predicts two-thirds of what it categorizes as “leisure travelers” plan to take vacations this summer, meaning millions of Americans will be hitting the road.
“Best airport” rankings aren’t typically the most helpful in terms of travel planning: If I want to go to Boston, I’m not going to head for Las Vegas instead because its airport is better. But those best airport lists do come in handy in two cases—when you have a choice of airport for your connecting flight, and when you can choose between multiple airports within a single metro area.
AirHelp, the online service that files complaints against airlines on behalf of passengers entitled to compensation for air delays or cancellations, knows a thing or two about air travel. Because it’s hard for the average person to understand air passenger rights and pursue a legal claim when they’ve been wronged, AirHelp is always going toe-to-toe with airlines and airports—and reveals once a year which ones that treat their passengers for the better (or worse).
An airport connection (or two) is often the price you pay for service to far-off destinations. Unfortunately, a connection almost always complicates your travel planning, asking you to decide where to connect and how much time to allow for the connection. There’s no easy formula answer to those questions, but there are a few choice airports to try and avoid.
Mexico and the Caribbean are famous for having some of the most luxurious all-inclusive resorts in the world, but what many people don’t realize is that some of the best all-inclusive hotels are actually located in the United States. You may even find an all-inclusive resort within driving distance from your home, as they are scattered throughout the country.
