A brand-new W hotel is coming to the Las Vegas strip, the latest development in the partnership between MGM Resorts International and Marriott International.
The swanky hotel is expected to open later this year on the southern end of the strip, according to MGM and reports. It is slated to open in what is currently the Delano, FOX5 Vegas reported.
«Our relationship with Marriott has far exceeded our expectations, demonstrating the power of its brand portfolio and the strength of their distribution channels,» Steve Zanella, the president of MGM Resorts operations, said in a statement. «W Las Vegas, the latest hotel to come to life as part of our collaboration, will allow our guests to access a new luxury lifestyle experience recognized worldwide for its distinct personality, dynamic programming and elevated service culture.»
The hotel is the latest in the collaboration between the two companies since they formed an agreement earlier this year.

Additional details on the new hotel and a projected opening date were not immediately available. But with the addition of the W, the company said the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy will include a total of 12 spots on the Las Vegas strip, including in the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, in the ARIA Resort & Casino, in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and in the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.
Since the partnership launched, MGM said bookings have “significantly” outpaced projections.
This isn’t the only Las Vegas property to get a major refresh. Earlier this year, the Bellagio offered a sneak peek of its renovations, complete with reimagined food concepts, updated pool cabanas and chaise loungers, and a reinvigorated glow-up of the guest rooms and suites in its Spa Tower. The Wynn Las Vegas also unveiled the design of several private villas.
And earlier this month, officials demolished the Tropicana — one of Sin City’s original hotels built in 1957 — to make room for a 30,000-seat MLB stadium for the Oakland Athletics baseball team.

Since earning AAdvantage Executive Platinum status with American Airlines AAdvantage in 2016, I've continued to qualify for AAdvantage Platinum Pro or higher status with the program each year. After all, I enjoy selecting Main Cabin Extra seating at booking, believe American miles still hold excellent value, appreciate earning miles through Bask Bank and love having Oneworld Emerald status. I also occasionally get a complimentary upgrade when flying within North America, although these have dwindled in frequency over the years.

There are now millions of reasons to book your next vacation. Frontier Airlines recently announced a new fare sale that discounts over two million seats on the airline, with tickets as low as $19. Described as the airline's «biggest sale of the year», the promotion offers travelers deals to popular destinations such as Atlanta, Denver, Las Vegas, Orlando, and more. The sale is valid on travel for select days throughout December 18, 2024, and ends at 11:59pm EST on October 17, 2024. Travelers should carefully review the sale's terms and conditions, as there are several restrictions of when and where travelers can get the discounted tickets. For example, most fares are only valid on flights Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. The $19 promotional fare is only available to members of Frontier's Discount Den program, which costs $59 a year and includes perks such as access to special sales, and free flights for children.
