A tropical urban retreat in the buzzing entertainment and retail district of Orchard Road, Conrad Singapore Orchard is the brand-new second location from Conrad Hotels & Resorts in Singapore—and it opened officially today.
When you think of Singapore, you probably envision a sprawling urban jungle bursting with futuristic technologies and eye-popping skyscrapers. And while that may be true, Singapore is also a green city that is home to more than 350 parks and four nature reserves. The newly opened Conrad Singapore Orchard is a living example of both these quintessential aspects of the city.
Set in an exclusive enclave of Singapore’s legendary Orchard Road and surrounded by lush greenery, Conrad Singapore Orchard delivers a unique blend of locality and luxury, combining sophisticated, state-of-the-art accommodations with experiences designed to enable travelers to connect with the destination.
A rebrand of Regent Singapore, Conrad Singapore Orchard has reopened in two phases. The meeting spaces and ten restaurants and bars have been welcoming guests since early last year, while the hotel itself is fully open today, following extensive room refurbishments.
Conrad Singapore Orchard’s 445 newly imagined guest rooms blend refined residential living with botanical-inspired design. Floor-to-ceiling windows, complemented by plantation shutters, invite nature from the outdoors in. The spaces have been designed using serene, natural tones in sand, cream, and muted greens, accented by signature palm motifs and potted tropical trees.
The 46 suites each feature a spacious lounge and expansive terrace. As for the Conrad Suite, it spans 2,200 square feet, with a primary bedroom offering lavish amenities, complete with a walk-in closet and a steam shower, as well as a generous living and entertainment area. It also connects to two separate guest rooms, each with an individual entrance.
The hotel boasts three tranquil spaces for relaxation and contemplation: an outdoor pool set amid the greenery, a well-equipped fitness center, and an Executive Lounge with serene balconies.
Originally designed by architect John Portman and invigorated by local creatives and artists, Conrad Singapore Orchard’s distinctive design embraces Singapore’s garden city environment, drawing art and nature into 12 cascading floors of contemporary guest rooms, meeting spaces, restaurants, and bars. At the heart of Portman’s creation, the skylit atrium stands as a bold legacy of his work—a striking hallmark that bathes the space in natural light.
Contemporary pieces by emerging local and regional artists welcome guests on a visual exploration of Singapore’s botanical heritage through a thoughtfully curated art collection. Globally renowned

My eyebrows are both intact. My cheeks, however, feel like they’re being kissed by the fire of a thousand suns. Sweat beads are dancing on my upper lip and my contact lenses feel like they’re melting into my corneas. Chisato Miyata, our tuna roaster, remains entirely unfazed by the stifling, foot-long flames. Then again, she has been doing this for over 30 years. In front of me is a larger-than-life poster with semi-threatening dos and don’ts: ‘Do not spin the skewered bonito!!!’, ‘Skewer is very hot!!!’, ‘Please eat with wasabi or salt first!!!’
