The hospitality company announces a new hotel opening in Tempe, Arizona,
among other sustainability and community-driven initiatives and destination-inspired programming.
HONOLULU, HAWAII – Aqua-Aston Hospitality, with more than 25 properties in Hawaii, Arizona and Costa Rica, announces key updates for fall 2023. In the Aloha State, Aqua-Aston Hospitality remains committed to the Maui community impacted by the devastating fires, while continuing to #ShareTheAloha, fostering eco-friendly and cultural enrichment initiatives across the Hawaiian Islands. This year, the hotel management group grows its United States Mainland portfolio with the upcoming opening of a new property in Tempe, Arizona, while prized eco-resort Botánika Osa Peninsula, Curio Collection by Hilton celebrates one year since opening on Costa Rica’s unspoiled, biodiverse South Pacific Coast.

As a result of the fires, many Aqua-Aston associates lost loved ones, their homes and personal belongings. The impact of these events has been profound, and as a company, Aqua-Aston is committed to caring for its associates and helping the community recover. The company is supporting relief organizations, including the Hawaii Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund and the American Red Cross, as they assist the broader community of Maui. In theaftermath, Aqua-Aston implemented several relief efforts for its associates, including providing immediate accommodation, distributing food, water, clothing, and personal care products, issuing urgent financial relief payments, compensating associates for unworkable hours, ensuring associates have a seamless continuation of benefits, and activating grief and support resources. As a proud operating business of Marriott Vacations Worldwide, impacted Aqua-Aston associates will also receive financial support from the Company Relief Fund.
Aqua-Aston Hospitality completed the shift to bulk bathroom amenities across its Hawaii properties, which has eliminated 5.5 million pieces of single-use plastic waste from its operations. The brand seeks to help further limit single-use plastic in Hawaii by providing complimentary tote bags and reusable water bottles to A-List subscribers. Aqua-Aston also continues to advocate #ForOurReef – its long-standing reef-safe sunscreen public education campaign – by encouraging guests to choose mineral based sun protection brands with exclusive discounts for guests from Little Hands Hawaii and Raw Elements.
Aqua-Aston Hospitality is combatting local hunger and food scarcity by holding its annual Harvest for Hunger food drive through November 30, 2023. With one in six people across the state struggling with food insecurity, this initiative stocks pantries and
