The holidays have come early this year for Capital One cardholders when the credit card company launched its first-ever travel sale offering up to $200 off flights and hotels around the world.
The sale, which is valid through Oct. 17 or while supplies last, has big savings on trips to more than 40 different destinations, including Miami, Tokyo, Rome, Aspen, Paris, and more, Capital One shared with Travel + Leisure. Travelers with an eligible Capital Onerewards card can access the deals when booking through Capital One Travel.
The final discount will be applied at checkout and reflected in the total cost, according to the company.
«At Capital One, we know our customers are passionate about traveling and the opportunities it provides to create lasting memories in destinations both near and far,” Jenn Scheurich, the head of travel at Capital One, told T+L. „Whether customers are looking to book a family ski vacation to Aspen, a girls' weekend to Nashville or bucket-list trip to Paris or Tokyo, there's an adventure awaiting in the Capital One Travel sale for everyone.“
Travelers can save big on a trip to Aspen, for example, with $200 off flights and 20 percent off a hotel, up to $200. Or jet off to Abu Dhabi with $200 off a flight and 40 percent off a hotel, also up to $200. The sale similarly offers $200 off flights to Buenos Aires, Cape Town, and Queensland, and $150 off flights to Saint Martin and Singapore.
Capital One, which recently launched curated, expert-led luxury trips for cardholders, also offers a new hotel program bookable with Capital One miles called the “Premier Collection.” The program offers travelers perks at luxury hotels like daily breakfast for two and bonus miles on paid reservations.
In addition, the credit card company is launching a series of airport lounges to make travel comfier. Last month, the company opened its second lounge location at Dulles International Airport complete with mid-century modern design, a grab-and-go section, a full-service espresso bar, secure lockers for storing carry-on luggage, and local craft beers.
