Choice Hotels began to push upmarket when it debuted the Cambria brand in 2005. The hotel franchisor lacked upscale expertise, as it had been best known for midscale brands, such as Quality Inn and Comfort Inn, and economy brands, like Rodeway Inn.

Celebrity Cruises will sail its longest-ever cruise from Canada all the way to Asia in 2026, stopping in more than 50 destinations across multiple continents.
The cruise line will set sail on a 110-night cruise for the company’s first Grand Voyage aboard the Celebrity Solstice, Celebrity announced this week. The trip will last from September to December 2026 and stop in 55 destinations in 15 different countries.
“Our 2026-2027 season offers exciting new and expanded experiences for Celebrity guests to indulge their sense of curiosity across all regions of the world,” Laura Hodges Bethge, the president of Celebrity Cruises, said in a statement. “Our guests’ love of back-to-back sailings inspired the 110-night Grand Voyage which traverses 55 destinations… with no repeated ports to provide an unrivaled elevated journey.”
The Grand Voyage will kick off by sailing to Alaska, where guests can enjoy stops at the Hubbard Glacier and in coastal towns, before sailing through the Pacific with stops in Hawaii, French Polynesia, and Fiji. The ship will then continue west to New Zealand, Australia, and Vanuatu, before heading up to Asia with stops in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, and finally, Hong Kong.
The cruise line’s Celebrity Solstice ship, which was first introduced in 2008, recently underwent a refurbishment. The ship boasts a capacity of 2,852 guests along with options like The Retreat ship-within-a-ship concept, the outdoor lush The Lawn Club, glassblowing demonstrations, and more.
Travelers with Celebrity, one of Travel + Leisure readers' favorite large-ship ocean cruise lines for 2024, are now able to take advantage of status matching with other Royal Caribbean Group cruise lines. Travelers earn status by sailing multiple nights and receive benefits like discounts on alcohol, Internet packages, and more.
Members of Celebrity’s Blue Chip Club program can also receive reciprocal benefits with Hard Rock International. Those benefits include things like perks during a hotel stay.

For me, September is a hard one to see go. With it, those last little moments of summer slip away, the temperature starts to change and it's time to start pulling out your warm coats. My September was especially great, though. It started with cruising around the Mediterranean and checking out a few dreamy hotels in Italy, followed by a quick trip to Mexico to check out Hyatt's new all-inclusive brand.
