Palm Beach Cannes, an iconic destination on the French Riviera since the 1920s, is set to reopen during the Cannes Film Festival after undergoing a four-year renovation. The new launch will feature the first-ever waterfront saltwater pool on the Riviera, offering magnificent views of the Bay of Cannes. Additionally, there will be a fitness center, wellness area, luxury boutiques, and a large ballroom.
The waterfront resort inspired by the Palace of a Thousand and One Nights, has been restored with great attention to detail and retains the cinematic allure of its heyday. It boasts breathtaking views of the Bay of Cannes and has been visited by many famous guests in the past, like the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Winston Churchill, JFK, and Grace Kelly. The resort will bring a blend of elegant glamour and contemporary flair to the Côte d'Azur and become a destination for the well-heeled Riviera crowd.
The materials used in the renovation are noble and sustainable according to the designer, including “sand-tinted facades, durable French Comblanchien stone, and bronze-coated finishes. Antique-style roof tiles, hand-applied lime coatings, and prestigious marble carpets in the interior maintain authenticity, while rattan fiber adds balance, achieving a harmonious fusion of modernity and history.”
Palm Beach Cannes will debut a new casino, and a collection of renowned restaurants, including Nammos Beach Club and Restaurant and Zuma, the upscale Japanese Izakaya restaurant. Numerous culinary options will also include Chef Yiannis Kioroglou and his La Petite Maison, along with cabaret and restaurant Medusa.Adding to the culinary options is Tamarin, a South American-inspired restaurant from St. Barths, marking its first new venture outside the Caribbean.
Within Palm Beach is the Members’ Club, reserved for a very exclusive list of carefully selected members who form an international community of epicurean enthusiasts. Members get access to unique venues, including the Members’ Bar, the legendary Palm Beach pool and its restaurant, as well as the Health Club
The property was built in 1929 and has undergone many changes over the years, transforming its original architecture entirely. It is now one of Europe's most significant developments in 2024. Caprini & Pellerin, renowned architects based in Cannes, have preserved the original Hispano-Moresque and Art Deco architecture while bringing the resort into the 21st century.

Gorgeously filmed and edited, the seven-episode ground-breaking Queens is the first-ever wildlife series steered by a women-led production team. Behind the scenes is an equally inspiring story four years in the making of incredible women from around the world. It has a message of courage and hope that’s close to my heart.” Queens premieres on National Geographic March 4; on Disney+ and Hulu March 5.
