Integrated tickets available on 13 new destinations in Germany and Switzerland
ROME – ITA Airways further confirms its commitment to increasingly integrated and sustainable mobility and announces a new partnership agreement with W2 by GO7 as the technical enabler for combined train and air transportation on several destinations in the Deutsche Bahn network.
Thanks to the new agreement, which follows the ITA Airways intermodal program launched in recent months, passengers holding an ITA Airways ticket on a flight from Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate to Frankfurt Airport will be able to continue their journey in Germany or Switzerland with a single ticket and travel on Deutsche Bahn high-speed trains to reach their destination.
The new combined train + air ticket enriches the company’s network with 13 new destinations, including 12 in Germany with Cologne, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Dresden, Munich, Leipzig, Berlin, Hamburg, Hannover, Nuremberg, Munster and Bremen, plus one in Switzerland with Basel.
This move confirms the importance of intermodal solutions for ITA Airways while combining the values and ambitions at the core of its strategy: sustainability, innovation, and customer-centricity. The aim is to enable more efficient connectivity between Germany and Italy, ensuring connections via the Rome Fiumicino hub and Milan Linate airport with all destinations in the ITA Airways network.
The combined ticket can be purchased through the ITA Airways sales channels, on the official ita-airways.com website, on the ITA Airways app, via authorized travel agencies, ITA Airways ticket offices, and the ITA Airways Customer Center.
