For Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), Advent begins this year on 1 December with the launch of its “LXmas” campaign and an appropriately festive raffle.
Christmas is coming, and SWISS is conducting its “LXmas With You” campaign to mark the Advent season. This year, Switzerland’s leading airline is putting a particular accent on the coming together that is such a key feature of the holiday period, and will be sharing all the joy and anticipation of Christmas both digitally and physically with its customers worldwide.
Under the banner of “LXmas With You”, SWISS will be getting its customers in the Christmas mood all over the world and celebrating the valued times together that the festive season brings.
Travellers and stay-at-homes alike will be able to win surprises large and small on SWISS’s social media channels and experience truly magical moments. They’ll also be invited to digitally explore up to four SWISS Christmas worlds using augmented reality filters on Instagram and TikTok and simultaneously enhance their chances of winning a raffle prize.
One particular highlight among the many prizes on offer in SWISS’s Christmas raffle is the chance to fly two loved ones on SWISS to Zurich to enjoy all the festive magic together at a special Christmas Event at Zurich Airport. The lucky winners will be offered a Christmas dinner in a truly unique setting: beneath the wings of an aircraft in one of the airport’s hangars.
SWISS’s travelling guests can look forward to some festive surprises, too, during the Advent season. St. Nicholas himself will be making a personal appearance on selected SWISS flights, accompanied by his elves. And what would Christmas be without the occasional red nose? So in true Christmas spirit, two SWISS aircraft – Airbus A340-300 HB-JMA and Airbus A320-200 HB-IJJ – will be sporting their own red noses to spread the SWISS Christmas magic systemwide.
“We’re really looking forward to celebrating this Christmas with our guests well beyond Switzerland’s borders,” says SWISS Head of Marketing Stefan Vasic. “Through ‘LXmas With You’ we don’t just aim to spread the festive spirit: we want to mark this special time of the year when we all come together and truly appreciate one another. Christmas is always best when it’s shared, we feel, and when we can experience all the magic of Advent together.”
SWISS will be celebrating the festive season on the ground, too. On 2 December customers of all ages are invited to visit the Christmas Village ‘Zürcher Wienachtsdorf’ near Zurich’s Bellevue square, where they can drop by the SWISS ‘LXmas’ stand and get into the Advent mood. And at Zurich Airport’s Check-In 1, travellers and visitors can don special VR goggles and explore the future First Class
