VisitBritain is developing a campaign that will promote locations used in movies and TV shows, said the group’s CEO Patricia Yates at the recent Skift Global Forum.

The figures show an increase of 4.4 million on last year’s results when 5.3 million Brits planned to take an overnight holiday trip during the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The United Kingdom is poised for a tourism boom in 2023, a welcome development for a country that has struggled to make a complete recovery from the pandemic.
