Luxury cruise line Regent Seven Seas Cruises has upgraded its Wi-Fi capability by installing Starlink across the company’s entire fleet.
Starlink’s low-orbit satellites will now serve all six of Regent’s ships around the world with high-speed, unlimited Wi-Fi, the company shared with Travel + Leisure. An unlimited Wi-Fi log-in is included with each suite as part of Regent’s all-inclusive cruise fares.
Starlink is engineered by SpaceX, which was founded by CEO Elon Musk.
“We are committed to providing an unrivaled experience for our discerning guests and are delighted to give luxury travelers the ability to share photos and videos, stream films and enjoy other immersive content on board at even faster speeds,” Andrea DeMarco, the president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said in a statement shared with T+L. “As the leaders in all-inclusive ultra-luxury cruising, this installation of Starlink WiFi across our entire fleet will not only improve our guests’ ability to communicate with loved ones at home, but also support the ship’s operational needs and services.”
While each suite comes with one Wi-Fi connection, Regent said passengers can purchase additional log-ins or choose to upgrade their connection for a fee.
In addition to complimentary Wi-Fi, Regent’s all-inclusive trips come with perks like free unlimited shore excursions, free valet laundry, included gratuities, and more. Each of the company’s ships accommodate between 496 and 850 guests. And in 2026, Regent will introduce a brand-new ship, the Seven Seas Prestige, which will become the first new ship class for the cruise line in 10 years.
Regent isn’t the only company to look to Starlink for Internet support. Last week, United Airlines signed a deal with Starlink to power its own fleet of more than 1,000 aircraft and committed to offering free high-speed onboard Wi-Fi for passengers. United will start testing the Wi-Fi throughout 2025 and roll it out after.

Island cruising usually conjures up images of crystal-clear water and bright sunshine in the Caribbean or the Mediterranean, and while MSC certainly offers sailings to both these popular destinations, the cruise line is also organizing a very different kind of island voyage.
When most Americans think of cruises, they probably think of island-hopping in the Caribbean or cruising by glaciers in Alaska from afar. That may be appealing for some people, but for others, the idea of being lazy on a ship of thousands of people for a week doesn’t sound like much of a vacation.
