We are excited to be able to promote our enchanting destination on such a significant platform in Berlin, working to improve our tourism network without abandoning our philosophy of environmentally and culturally sustainable tourism, attributes that are in line with the demands of the German traveller.
Tamil Nadu is culturally rich, with six UNESCO World Heritage Sites and iconic events throughout the year, such as the Indian Dance Festival, the Tamil Nadu International Balloon Festival, the Tamil Nadu International Kite Festival and the Chennai Vizha, an international handicrafts and handloom festival.
With year-round festivals, Tamil Nadu offers travellers the chance to experience its rich traditional celebrations. Notably, Pongal, a significant four-day harvest festival, features the exhilarating Jallikattu, a traditional bull-taming sport.

The completion of a state-of-the-art 16-acre Jallikattu arena in Madurai exemplifies a sophisticated venue dedicated to the traditional sport. In Jallikattu, the bull is released into a crowd of people who then try to grab the bull’s hump for as long as possible. The primary purpose of Jallikattu is to preserve the unadulterated lineage of indigenous bulls.
