I’ve already told you about Amazon Prime membership’s unknown perks, but I’m especially excited about its latest membership benefit: Prime Samples and Amazon Sample Boxes. I first noticed these on the site yesterday and as a self-proclaimed “subscription box guru,” I was excited to see that Amazon launched its own version of this type of service.
Related:7 Amazon Holiday Shopping Tips to Save You Time (and Money)With the latest Amazon Prime membership benefit, you can browse both single samples and sample boxes, which are divided up by categories, and the best part is that you earn credits for shopping. Some note-worthy boxes for travelers include the Luxury Women’s Beauty Box ($19.99), Nutrition & Wellness Box ($9.99), and the Men’s Daily Grooming Sample Box ($9.99). These prices are much lower than traditional subscription boxes, which typically start around $30 per month. And while you’re getting less than what many of those boxes offer, this is a nice void for Amazon to fill.
All of the products are travel-sized, and you can choose from pre-made boxes, make your own by purchasing single samples, or just purchase what you need a la carte. No sign of travel-specific curated boxes yet, but hopefully Amazon launches those soon.
Other perks of this Prime benefit include on-demand ordering (rather than the monthly shipping subscription boxes stick to), and two-day shipping on Prime-eligible items. It’s worth noting that Amazon lists this perk as a limited time offer.

These days, Babba Rivera is practically synonymous with her haircare line Ceremonia. The brand's Instagram feed is filled with shots of her lush brown hair, drenched in guava-scented products; signature pops of hibiscus pink, lime, and tangerine, are both splashed across bottles of deep-conditioners and her envy-inducing wardrobe. In that way, the line between work and personal life is always blurry—something she was reminded of when she recently spent a month working from Mexico City.

From action-packed adventures to relaxing family getaways, everyone has their own particular way of traveling. But for most people, vacation planning is the same scattered process: Ask friends for recommendations, look up what sounds good, and try to keep track of all the ideas. The new TripAdvisor (SmarterTravel’s parent company) is aiming to change that.
America’s newest wicked-long flight is the Boston-to-Honolulu route from Hawaiian Airlines, which is now the longest flight in the country at 5,095 miles. And it’s not a fluke—the new Hawaiian flight is the longest nonstop route in the United States ever. The journey takes a whopping 11 hours 40 minutes when flying to the islands, but it will only take 10 hours and 15 minutes to get back to reality.
As I dragged my suitcase past the dozens of purple signs and arrows pointing to the new “Rideshare App” pickup at Boston Logan, I realized everyone around me was just as confused about the new process as I was. Here’s what I experienced recently with the new Uber/Lyft changes at Boston Logan Airport. Spoiler alert: It wasn’t good.
Beachgoers are accustomed to finding small clumps of seaweed scattered around the sand or amongst the waves. But lately, visitors to beaches in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Florida might be surprised to be swimming in far more seaweed than they hoped for on their summer vacation: Sargassum.
