It’s not exactly a revelation to state that facialists are everywhere these days, but few can claim to have the global following that’s attached to Edyta Jarosz, a master aesthetician at Shafer Clinic Fifth Avenue.
Let me tell about Edyta from firsthand experience: this affable yet serene personality is a gifted skin specialist like no other. She has what I call intuitive hands and has transformed my lackluster dry complexion into one that’s vibrant, alive and refreshed.
You don’t book a specific facial with Edyta— you simply book Edyta, and her mind and hands guide her on the treatment to perform on that given day. Her clients fly in from the Middle East, Europe and other far flung parts of the world just to see her and stay in town for a day or two before jetting off.
Edyta prizes client confidentiality above all else and never divulges names from her A-list roster, but celebrities like Kelly Ripa, Kesha, Lisa Rinna, Nina Garcia, Michaela Coel and more have publicly shared their admiration for her work.
Just try her once, and you’ll get what all the hype is about.
And a word about the Shafer Clinic itself: t’s a destination in its own right and comprises the top seven floors of a high-rise in Midtown. The global crowd comes for plastic surgery, laser, metabolic aesthetics and more.
Like me, get ready to be a believer.
Below are edited excerpts from my recent chat with Edyta.
Celebrity facialists are everywhere these days. How are you unique?
I believe I stand out in the world of celebrity facialists not just for my technical ability, expertise, and ongoing global training, but for the profound passion and dedication I bring to my role as an esthetician. I believe that it is my deeply sustained strong love for my profession as a skincare specialist, paired with my artistic and skillful approach to that specialty of skincare which makes me truly unique.
Can you explain your various facial techniques and the different treatments you offer?
I am very meticulous about customizing each facial based on the client's individual skin type, sensitivities, and personal skin goals or concerns. I developed a signature technique that revolves around the principles of LIFT, SCULPT, and SLAP. This approach aims to activate facial muscles, stimulate blood flow, optimize oxygenation, and sculpt the face with meticulous care.
The most commonly requested facial treatment is my Signature Red Carpet Treatment, which features a combination of OxyLight Ionix, Diamond Glow technology, and my signature LIFT, SCULPT & SLAP facial massage method. The OxyLight Facial integrates various advanced technologies and techniques, including Negative Pressure Therapy, diamond microdermabrasion, high-pressure oxygen infusion, BioSonix
