These U.S. States Are Cashing in on Airbnb Tourist Taxes

By the time a Gen Zer in the U.S. reaches age 30, they’ll have spent approximately $145,000 on rent on average. In comparison, millennials spent roughly $127,000 by the same age.

Airbnb-backed Samara, which sells tiny homes called “Backyard,” is boosting its production facilities in Mexico. 

Luxury hotels are great. Some have incredible spas where you can revive your skin and spirit, while others offer rooftop infinity pools with sweeping vistas for miles and miles.

Booking platforms including Airbnb, Expedia, Tripadvisor and Booking sold about 678 million nights in short-term rentals in Europe last year. That was up 14% over 2022. 

Like many South Florida residents, I came first as a tourist before my family made the leap and moved here.
