The summer season is almost here, which may have you thinking about a nice, cool dip in the pool. And this summer, you can actually get paid for it.
Swimply, a website that allows people to rent private pools, hot tubs, and other spaces (think of it like an Airbnb for pools), is looking for a Chief Pools Officer (CPO) to go around the nation to test out and review pools. And it will pay you handsomely to do it.
Specifically, the company is looking for someone to review pools in all 50 states, seeing as many pools as possible between July and September. In exchange, the company will pay this person a compensation package worth $100,000. The package includes a $50,000 base payment to cover their work, travel expenses, floaties, and road trip snacks, along with up to $50,000 in performance bonuses based on content engagement and the number of pools they visit.
«Our inaugural Chief Pools Officer will pool their skills to help us discover and share the best aquatic escapes nestled in America's backyards,» Derek Callow, Swimply's CEO, shared in a statement provided to Travel + Leisure. «This is more than a dream job; it's a summer-long pool party. If you have a passion for pools and a splash of charisma, we're looking for you to help spread the Swimply sunshine. Jump in – the water's great!»
Responsibilities include documenting the entire experience on social media (including creating Instagram Reels, TikToks and YouTube vlogs), curating expert guides and «Best of» lists for its site, hosting a pop-up pool party, being a general Swimply representative on the road, and most important of all — «have fun.»
Would-be Chief Pool Offers can apply by booking a Swimply pool near them and creating a video resume highlighting their expertise. Applicants then must post their video on social media (via TikTok or Reels) and tag @swimply using the hashtag #SwimplyDreamJob. The company will then pick top applicants for interviews. Submissions are open until June 15. See more about the role at swimply.com/dreamjob.
«We're calling this the dream job for a reason,» the company added. «Most important is to enjoy the best of what Swimply has to offer and share the fun and adventure with its community.»

A late summer or fall getaway just got cheaper to book. Frontier Airlines recently announced a ‘1 Million Seats’ fare sale with deals as low as $19 one-way. The sale extends to popular locations such as Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Orlando, and more. The sale pricing expires on June 13, 2024, and is valid on travel dates between now and June 15, 2024 and then again from August 19, 2024 through October 31, 2024, with some caveats. The airline will only allow discounted tickets to be purchased for flights on Mondays through Thursdays, and Saturdays. There are other restrictions for travel dates to Las Vegas, Florida, and international destinations, so travelers should carefully review the sale terms to ensure they are getting the best deals. The discounted fares of $19 are only available to members of Frontier's paid-subscription service Discount Den, which has a $59 annual membership fee and provides access to deals and other amenities for members. For those without the Discount Den subscription, the starting sale price is $29. Travel + Leisure spotted some of the deals include:

New York City rolled out the One Metro New York contactless payment system five years ago, but thanks to a slew of issues, less than half of subway riders currently use OMNY. For example, passengers who are entitled to discounted fares (like students) can't use it if they expect to get a cheaper ride, and people living in the greater New York transit system are also unable to take advantage of the system.
