Slytherins and Gryffindors alike can rejoice as Universal Orlando Resort has announced details and shared an official first look at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic coming to the upcoming Universal Epic Universe.
The reveal is the fifth and final immersive land coming to the park, which includes an east coast version of Super Nintendo World, as shared withTravel + Leisure in a press release this week. The five “worlds,” which also includes Dark Universe, How To Train Your Dragon — Isles of Berk, and Celestial Park, will feature attractions, dining, shopping, and more.
The resort’s soon-to-be third Harry Potter-themed land will blend the iconic British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter series and 1920s wizarding Paris from the Warner Bros. Pictures’ Fantastic Beasts films. It follows the “global phenomenon” that began with the 2010 debut of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Hogsmeade and the 2014 launch of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley.

And Universal promises that “the bar for theme park entertainment will be raised once again.” The project is a partnership between the award-winning Universal Creative team and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic will feature an “awe-inspiring collection of experiences that includes fantastical dining, whimsical retail, spellbinding entertainment and the most ambitious, groundbreaking ride Universal has ever created,” according to the press release. Once guests step through the portal, they will be met with a Muggle park before stepping into “the majestic grandeur and enchanting ambiance” of 1920’s Paris. Here, they’ll find sidewalk cafes, shops, and more set within soaring Haussmannian-style buildings.
Its flagship attraction, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, will use “first-of-its-kind ride technology” with “massive environments” and “powerful storytelling.” It will be built upon “the historic theme park innovation Universal is known for – and will be one of its most impressive attractions to date.” Riders will travel from wizarding Paris to the British Ministry of Magic via the Metro-Floo. After entering a large-scale grand atrium, they will board omnidirectional lifts to watch the trial of infamous Dolores Umbridge take place. Along the way, riders of the thrill attraction will encounter beloved characters, including Harry Potter, and Death Eaters.
Le Cirque Arcanus will be the first ever Wizarding World live, full-scale theater production. The audience will join Ringmaster Skender for the experience that includes puppetry, aerialists, live performers, and special effects
