Visit Savannah is on a trolley roadshow visiting 11 American cities to promote its city as a tourist destination and a place to live. The city’s tourism bureau is partnering with its economic development authority on the campaign in half a dozen cities.
Luxury cruise line Lindblad Expeditions is expanding its presence in the Galapagos with plans to buy two ships from fellow cruise line Celebrity Cruises. Lindblad will purchase both the 48-guest Celebrity Xpedition and the smaller, 16-guest Celebrity Xploration for the Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic fleet, the company announced Wednesday. Following the sale, which is expected to close in January 2025, both ships will undergo multi-million dollar renovations. Alaska Airlines passengers will now be able to book British Airways flights to London directly on the American carrier’s website in an expanded partnership agreement.
JetBlue and British Airways have been approved to partner up on codeshare flights, making it easier for travelers to fly to dozens of destinations between the U.S. and Europe. “We are pleased with the U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) approval for a bilateral codeshare agreement between JetBlue and British Airways,” an airline spokesperson for JetBlue shared with T+L on Tuesday. “We are always looking for new ways to offer our customers more choice when traveling. With the new codeshare, customers will be able to seamlessly book a single ticket for travel on both airlines, providing an expanded network of destinations across Europe and the U.S.”
