An iconic Brooklyn party spot is now a new lifestyle hotel.
Joining its sibling properties Arlo SoHo, Arlo NoMad and Arlo Midtown, Arlo Williamsburg opened on September 12, 2023 in the location of of former Williamsburg Hotel at 96 Wythe Ave.
The Williamsburg Hotel opened in 2017 in an eight-story brick tower with a well-attended rooftop pool and water tower bar with skyline views. Despite its popularity with travelers, locals and tri-state visitors alike, the rooftop party ended following a 2022 bankruptcy and the subsequent 2023 sale.
Now, Quadrum Global, a development, investment management and advisory group focused on real estate opportunities, owns the property. Under new management, Arlo Williamsburg will continue to aim to represent the neighborhood, and attract both neighbors and travelers.
Arlo Williamsburg houses 147 guest rooms, including eight suites, each tiled and textured with authentic reclaimed materials and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Brooklyn and the Manhattan skyline. Also known for its views: the 10,000 square foot rooftop pool and lounge, which underwent a renovation to showcase its 360-degree views. Loungers and cabanas and a craft cocktail menu help reinvent the rooftop oasis.
The hotel’s signature Water Tower Bar has been revived with work by artist Ryan Wilson (aka ThankYouX). For his first graffiti art piece since 2021, the L.A.-based artist scaled the brick wall below the Water Tower to create the 20-by-23-foot mural, “Subtle Reminders,” featuring his signature geometric cubes and vibrant abstract color tones to illuminate the hotel pool and NYC skyline.
Another artist, Brooke Einbender (aka Mindbender Art) helped transform Arlo Williamsburg’s elevators with custom vinyl door wraps, for the lobby, ground level and rooftop.
Downstairs, local street artist Eric Rieger (also known as HOT TEA) has added a rainbow installation to the Lobby Bar for guests to enjoy while sipping drinks and people watching on Wythe Ave.
“We’re thrilled to announce that Arlo Williamsburg is officially open,” said Oleg Pavlov, founder and CEO of Quadrum Global and Arlo Hotels. “Reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional service and a locally driven community, Arlo Williamsburg mixes unparalleled comfort and modern amenities with the borough’s vibrant soul. It's not just a place to stay, it's an experience waiting to be explored.”
Arlo Williamsburg has already scheduled programming and weekly events to maintain the property’s social status. Lucky Hourwill take place Monday through Friday from 5-6 p.m, a Williamsburg Drag Brunch will be held every other Saturday at 2 p.m., YO BK Flow Rooftop Yoga is now every Friday at 9 a.m., Tony Deep Disco will spin Live Beats on Fridays and
