Belfast City Airport Expands Sunshine Routes with New Alicante Flights in 2024

Belfast City Airport has announced it will expand its portfolio of sunshine routes with flights to Alicante taking off with easyJet in summer 2024.
Commencing on 24th May 2023, the service to the popular Spanish destination will operate on Thursdays and Sundays.
Katy Best, Commercial Director at Belfast City Airport commented:
“There is proven demand for sunshine routes from Belfast City Airport and this is therefore a hugely exciting announcement for us.
“Over the last couple of years, we have grown our partnership with easyJet to offer a network of six domestic routes – Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester – and adding a European summer destination is a really significant milestone in that growth.

“Alicante is always a popular destination, whether it is for family holidays, golf trips or sightseeing, and it is excellent holidaymakers from Northern Ireland will have additional options for summer 2024.
With a short flight time of just over three hours, the route to Alicante will also provide choice for travellers wishing to visit Benidorm, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, and Torremolinos.
Located on Spain’s southeastern coastline, Alicante province is world-renowned for its dynamic culture beautiful weather, and stunning views.
This, coupled with its spectacular beaches and mixture of old and new towns, makes Alicante one of the most sought-after Spanish holiday destinations for families, couples, and relaxing breaks in the sun.
