United Airlines is pulling back slightly on what's been an ambitious expansion across the Pacific Ocean.

United Airlines said on Thursday that it would resume the process of certifying newly delivered aircraft and new routes. The airline had paused both in recent months as the Federal Aviation Administration launched a review of the airline's practices amid a series of incidents that raised concern over safety.

Southwest Airlines recently announced the launch of its new Orlando – Nassau route. Daily nonstop flights will connect Central Florida’s metropolitan hub with The Bahamas’ capital city at the height of the summer months.
