She spoke with Forbes about her favorite places in New York where she is temporarily living during the show’s run.

Have you ever been to New York before ? If so, can you share some of your favorite spots in town and what makes them so great?
Yes! I’ve had the pleasure of visiting NYC a couple times in the past so it’s very nice to be back. Of course, a few of my favorite spots here are well-known landmarks such as the Flat Iron Building, Washington Square Park, and Bryant Park.
But I also love visiting The Strand Bookstore and walking through Brooklyn Heights and SoHo. I find that these places are so special and memorable to me not only because they’re visually gorgeous, but also because of the energy they give me. I’m one that finds beauty and calmness in fast-paced environments. And all these places have their unique quirks and characteristics. I’m a huge fan.
What is your favorite neighborhood in the city and why?
Although I really love Brooklyn Heights and SoHo, I think the winner of my favorite neighborhood must go to the West Village. That area is just so charming and is surrounded by amazing food.
During your days off, are you planning on seeing shows in New York? And if so, what other shows are on your radar right now?
In a few weeks, I’ll be seeing Sleep No More before it closes in January and in the past, I’ve attended showings of Wicked, Hadestown, and Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. A show that’s currently on my radar is Spamalot on Broadway — I’d love to watch that too.

That’s tough! I feel like something that’s never done me wrong is just going wherever the day takes me. I’ve found that some of my most memorable experiences are things/places I’ve happened to stumble upon. Have an idea of what you want to do and from there, let it play out organically. Roll with it! My favorite hidden gems while traveling are always usually art exhibits, coffee shops, and bookstores.
Can you share your favorite theaters around the world and why?
The Chicago Theatre, the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, La Scala de Milan, Moscow Bolshoi Theatre, and the Metropolitan Opera House. I’ve been fortunate to perform

“I feel like we’re at the house of rich friends with impeccable taste…and they’ve given us run of the place,” I said to my partner during our stay at Inn the Ground, which opened in Oregon’s Willamette Valley this year. We were seated around a sleek concrete fire bowl on the patio, wearing plush white robes on loan from the Inn. Sipping pinot from glasses we grabbed after being told we could help ourselves to anything in the ultra-modern kitchen, we relished the quiet, and watched the last of that day’s light disappear from the profile of Mt. Hood.
In the U.S. state of California, the northern valley named Napa includes a wine scene under constant transformation. Establishments change ownership, new talent arrives and well known names depart. During 2023, for example, Rombauer Vineyards sold their brand (as well as many of their facilities and more than a square mile of vineyards—located not only in Napa Valley but at other northern California regions) to E&J Gallo’s Luxury Wine Group; Miljenko (Mike) Grgich, who crafted the iconic Chardonnay that brought fame to Chateau Montelena in the 1970’s, passed away; the Napa Valley Wine Train celebrated its 30th anniversary, while the Napa Valley Wine Trolley (a replica of a tram car from San Francisco) reopened at Castello di Amorosa after years of Covid-19 related closure. Also in 2023, the county approved the first ever proposed ‘micro-winery’ (Goel Estate Vineyards) with criteria that include that it not produce more than 5,000 gallons of wine per year and that the owners grow 75% of grapes used for fermentation onsite.
Sun Valley, Idaho is practically synonymous with skiing and winter snow sports—and for good reason. Interest in skiing surged in the decades after the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Sun Valley Resort opened in 1936 with the goal of becoming America’s premier ski resort—debuting the world’s first chairlift, adapted from a system used to haul bananas onto ships in Panama.
