On its 32nd anniversary, the Disneyland Paris Resort announced a complete reimagining of its Walt Disney Studios Park. The Hollywood-inspired park, which first opened in 2002 and is opposite the main Disneyland Paris park, will undergo a magical makeover and be renamed to Disney Adventure World, the park shared withTravel + Leisure on Friday.
The reimagined park will allow “guests to step into their favorite stories in a uniquely Disney way” and is part of an overall two-billion-euro destination-wide investment which includes new attractions, the ongoing transformation of its on-site hotels, and a reimagining of its entertainment, shopping, and dining district, Disney Village.
“Today, we are changing the story of Walt Disney Studios Park, evolving from ‘how it’s done’ soundstages to celebratory theaters and adventures that come to life in immersive worlds,” Tom Fitzgerald, Walt Disney Imagineering Chief Storytelling Executive and Senior Creative Executive for Disneyland Paris, shared in the press release. “These fully realized adventure worlds will become the focus of the park’s new identity and appear as realms that guests discover as they navigate deeper within the park and are invited to participate in adventures inspired by our most beloved stories.”

Transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney World Adventure will begin this month at its entrance. Park goers will soon encounter a “vibrant, contemporary open-air movie studio before becoming special guests of a glamorous film premiere in the heart of Hollywood on a starry night.” The former entrance, a colorful indoor replica soundstage, will be reimagined, paying homage to historic Hollywood movie theaters, and is set for reopening in Spring 2025.
This “all-new visual identity” will occur in tandem with the opening of Paris' very own World of Frozen — a brand-new immersive land inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen — which has opened in Hong Kong.
The land will be situated on the edge of Adventure Bay, a new multi-use 70,000 cubic meter body of water, which will be utilized as a “unique entertainment stage with 360-degree viewing area” and will be complete with a walkable promenade — Adventure Way — to lands throughout the park.

The transformation will also welcome Raiponce Tangled Spin, all-new family attraction inspired by the beloved Disney Animation movie Tangled.

Launched in London more than 20 years ago, the World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards has become one of the most important ratings in the rarefied world of top tier fine dining (though not without some criticism and controversy). But regardless what people think of the process behind selection, there’s no doubt that some of the big winners over the years have in fact been some of the world’s very best, places like Spain’s El Bulli, England’s The Fate Duck, Italy’s Osteria Francescana, Denmark’s Noma and in the U.S. notables have included Napa Valley’s French Laundry and New York City’s Eleven Madison Park.

Whether you celebrate Earth Day, National Park Week or World Environment Day, you can’t escape the many ways these celebrations strive to bring more attention to the damage the industrial world can wreak on our planet. But after the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic brought the travel industry almost to a standstill, American travelers rushed back to their airports as soon as they could.
It’s inevitable: Every spring when we pull together the Hot List, our annual collection of the world’s best new hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships, a staffer remarks that this latest iteration has got to be the best one ever. After a year’s worth of traveling the globe—to stay the night at a converted farmhouse in the middle of an olive grove outside Marrakech, or sail aboard a beloved cruise line’s inaugural Antarctic voyage—it’s easy to see why we get attached. But this year’s Hot List, our 28th edition, might really be the best one ever. It’s certainly our most diverse, featuring not only a hotel suite that was once Winston Churchill’s office, but also the world’s largest cruise ship and restaurants from Cape Town to Bali. We were surprised and inspired by this year’s honorees, and we know you will be too. These are the Hot List hotel winners for 2024.
In a landscape sparsely populated with people but covered in spruce forests, taiga, tundra and lakes, a singular physical force reigns supreme – the 20,310ft imposing elevation of Denali, the mountain that dominates its eponymous national park in Alaska.
In the early 1900s, Anaheim, California, was a rural community with endless rows of orange groves. Of course, that all changed when Disneyland opened July 17, 1955, and transformed the town into one of the world's most well-known tourist destinations.
