Disney Cruise Line has unveiled the first renderings and information about the new Disney Treasure cruise ship, which is expected to debut in December 2024 as the second in the line’s new Wish-class ships.
The Disney Treasure’s new motto and theme is “Adventure,” and it takes inspiration from a variety of beloved Disney adventures, but most notably, it’s the first ship in the fleet to take inspiration from popular attractions found within Disney Parks across the globe.
“When we thought about the three ships that we were designing, we really thought overall about the Disney brand and the pillars that make up the Disney brand,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Cruise Line. “As we thought about the Disney Wish, we thought about ‘Enchantment’ as the motif that we leaned into. When we started to think about ‘Adventure,’ we really fell in love with the idea, because there are so many opportunities for us to pull from a variety of stories that we tell.”
“The parks just provide such great inspiration,” Siskie continued. “We almost came at it from the opposite angle of saying ‘Where are our most adventurous stories?’ and we were leaning back into ideas that were generated in the parks.”
The Disney Treasure is the sister ship to the Disney Wish, which debuted last year as the first in the Wish class series. It’s currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. The ship will run on liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The ship will welcome up to 4,000 passengers with a crew of 1,555 when it debuts on December 21, 2024. It features 1,256 staterooms, including 948 verandah staterooms, 185 oceanview staterooms and 123 inside staterooms. Specialty configurations include 53 concierge staterooms, 23 concierge suites, four Royal Suites and one Tomorrow Tower Suite.
The Disney Treasure’s inaugural sailing will depart from Port Canaveral on a seven-night journey to the Eastern Caribbean; the ship will then offer a selection of seven-night sailings to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral through the Caribbean sailing season.
Bookings will open for the general public September 20, 2023; Castaway Club members will have exclusive access to the Disney Treasure itineraries to book on September 12, 2023.
With a theme like “Adventure,” there’s no end to the inspiration from beloved Disney adventures from Coco to Aladdin and more. However, one of the main inspirations for several locations and offerings around the ship comes from beloved Disney Parks attractions and rides.
Adult areas especially take inspiration from Disney Parks attractions, including

While more and more cruise ships are beginning to feel like floating theme parks courtesy an abundance of onboard thrills, no one has mastered this realm quite like Disney. Now, on the heels of Disney Wish, which launched last year, Disney Treasure will set sail in December 2024 with seven-night Caribbean voyages from Port Canaveral. “We were inspired by Walt Disney's love of traveling all around the world and his spirit of adventure,” said Pam Rawlins, an executive producer at Walt Disney Imagineering, at a much-anticipated ship reveal held onboard the Disney Wish last week while it was docked in Florida. “We are taking you to real-world beautiful places, but also fantastical stories that we bring to life on the Disney Treasure.”
