Explora Journeys has launched new entertainment programming onboard Explora I.
Guests can now enjoy new evening performances, interactive activities and exclusive events while sailing aboard the 922-passenger ship.
"We are thrilled to introduce more activities and performances, bringing each journey to life with color and variety,” says Steve Leatham, vice president of entertainment.
Day and night, travelers can scan QR codes posted throughout the ship to engage in daily activities on their phones or tablets, such as trivia, crossword puzzles, word searches, chess and sudoku. This same technology allows guests to make special musical requests to the performers. They can view song lists, send requests and suggest new songs during late-night gigs in the ship’s Astern Lounge.
During the day, travelers lounging by the pool can also watch pop-up performances from musicians, performers and wellness team members. These experiences are paired with beverages and snacks.
Guests can also participate in new hosted events designed to foster a sense of community on the ship. These include daytime sports, rituals, interactive events and a multi-day secret “Murder Mystery” game.
The new line-up also features diverse evening entertainment, including pre-dinner piano music and DJs spinning Euro tracks by the pool. The Explora Music Series also features six new vocalists performing nightly in the Journeys Lounge.
Explora Journeys also announced the appointment of Ray Carr, Michael Langley and Keri Noble to its leadership team. They’ll serve as entertainment managers on journeys throughout the summer.
