Axel Najera, a seasoned marketing professional with a career spanning over two decades, hails from Mexico City. He holds a master’s degree in media planning and has honed his skills across various sectors, including a blend of advertising and hospitality well suited to this role. Axel’s career journey includes notable tenures at prestigious advertising agencies such as Leo Burnett, Grey México and BBDO. He also boasts extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having led Marketing and Public Relations at MSD México for 12 years.
In addition to his corporate roles, Axel successfully ran his own marketing agency for six years, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and strategic acumen. His passion for the hotel industry was ignited during his four remarkable years with Fairmont, further enriched by his experience at a hotel in Anguilla and a Mexican luxury hospitality brand. Now, Axel returns to Fairmont Mayakoba, bringing with him a renewed commitment to excellence in his new role at the property.
