It just got easier to visit Jamaica — for an affordable price.
Announced Thursday, Frontier Airlines will launching a new, nonstop service to Montego Bay, Jamaica’s Sangster International Airport from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The new service takes off on March 9, 2024, and will operate three times a week.
As part of the launch announcement shared withTravel + Leisure, fares start at a promotional price of $159 for one-way tickets valid from the launch date through June 14, 2024, with selected dates blocked off. The new flight to Jamaica will also be available for participants in Frontier’s GoWild! Pass, which provides unlimited flights for one price.
Travelers should be mindful that the promotional fare does not include checked bag fees, or advanced seat assignment. The airline says that tickets for the route are now available for purchase, on Frontier's website.
“This is an exciting milestone for Frontier and Cleveland as we expand our operation to offer service to a new international destination for CLE— Jamaica,”Frontier Airlines Vice President of Network and Operation Design Josh Flyr said in a statement shared with Travel + Leisure “Montego Bay is rich in history and offers a stunning array of beaches, along with a multitude of fun in the sun activities.”
Montego Bay is Jamaica's third largest city, a major port for cruise ships, and home to several resorts including Margaritaville Jamaica, Secrets Resort, and IHG's Iberostar. The island of Jamaica is also home to hotels from most popular chains including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and Sandals.

In particular, a few of T+L's favorites include the Rockhouse Resort & Spa which was described as an “adult summer camp,” and The Tryall Club which is known for its bespoke private villas.
